FORMS OF BEING 2021- The main focus of this project is handmade paper, drawings and laser etchings.
Egregores are born from the collective consciousness. The entities are kept alive and effective with destruction and care.
Within the paper, the destruction and care are present. Grinding maims the fibers to be able to be assembled again. With the diverse touch of the hands, with a wash of water. Fibers come together with a promise of a burgeoning new beginning.
The laser is programmed to burn this blank slate. This machine creates symbiosis with archaic methods. Opposing technologies come together to reveal the discoveries of the wakeful ideas. The symbiosis of fire and material, the nurture and controlled destruction. The tools of transformation, adversity, and fostering of abstract to concrete.
MEMORY OF MATERIAL 2022 – In the project Memory of Material the focus is to find ways to nurture and cultivate materials.
In order to grow the leather, the cellular skin needs to feed and nurture it. It requires a habitat to sleep, rest, and grow in silence. Give it time to fill the space of being and get thick with the information of the surroundings.
